COVID-19 Safety Policy

We have formed Covid -19 safety policy regarding the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), our dental team continues to place you and your family’s health at the forefront of our minds.

As such, in accordance with official recommendations from NSW Health, Dental Council of NSW, and the Australian Dental Association, if you or someone you have been in contact with has traveled overseas recently, or if you have any of the following symptoms

• High temperature
• Coughing
• Sore throat
• Shortness of breath
• Runny nose

Please tell a member of our staff PRIOR to your appointment by ringing us.

As a practice, we will like to reassure you that your safety is of paramount importance to us, and in addition to strict adherence to high infection control standards.

Measures to reduce the spread of Covid-19

• The availability of alcohol-based hand rub at reception for use by anyone entering the practice.
• The removal of toys from the kids’ waiting area.
• Relocating the magazines from the waiting area to behind the reception desk, available upon request.
• Increasing the cleaning and disinfecting frequency of our waiting room.

In addition, please be assured that none of our practitioners or staff have traveled to any of the countries listed as Higher Risk by the Australian Government’s Department of Health (China, Iran, Italy, South Korea) within the last four months, and all staff has been thoroughly briefed on the importance of attending work only in the absence of any respiratory symptoms.

As health professionals, we will like to state that these changes have been implemented in our practice largely to help protect the vulnerable people in our community and reduce the burden on our health system. We would like to encourage the community to continue to practice hand hygiene habits, avoid touching your face with unwashed hands, and stay at home if you are sick.
